Using RSS Feed to Receive alerts about Ibn Khaldun Today New Released Content
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. This option allows you to have one place where you store sites, like this one, that you read and present them to you in an orderly fashion.
For most efficient use of RSS, you need the following:
1. Identify the RSS feed of the website you want to read
2. sign up for a feedreader account
3. Add web browser extension
These steps will allow you not only to have all updates from your favorite websites streamed in one location, without any algorithm manipulating their presentation to you, but it will also allow you to store and organize information the way you want. Also, this option gives you more control over your privacy: no need to sign up for social media accounts or newsletters.
Steps to take to access our feed:
1. sign up for a feedreader account: there are many free and paid options, here is a list: The Old Reader, Feedly, Feedbin, Vivaldi, Feeder, Inoreader, NewsBlur...
2. Bookmark or save it in a way where you can access it on any of your devices
3. Add an extension to the browser you use; Browser extension can be helpful, examples: this Chrome extension (RSS Subscription Extension (by Google)) and this Firefox add-on (Want My RSS) will add an RSS feed icon to your URL bar, and you can click it to subscribe to almost any website you're on. You can also use a feed generator like Fetch RSS or RSS.app to help you identify the URL Feed for a website.
4. Subscribe. Now, rather than having to visit each publication's site individually to see if new content has been published, you will be able see all of the new content from all of the sites you're interested in within a single interface: the Feed reader, e.g., Feedly or The Old Reader, etc.
